Formulating the Blend

The foundation of this preparation is black walnut hull–wormwood infused oil.

Black Walnut Hull has long been valued in traditional practice for its strong antifungal properties. Its deep pigment reflects its concentrated tannins and juglone content, historically associated with purifying and protective actions.

Wormwood is incorporated within the infusion for its cleansing character. Traditionally regarded as hostile to fungal growth, it reinforces the preparation’s protective intent.

Beeswax pellets are added to transform the infused oil into a stable salve. Beyond structure, beeswax contributes mild protective and barrier-forming properties that help maintain prolonged skin contact.

Oregano essential oil is included in measured quantity for its potent antifungal activity. Its concentrated volatile compounds provide targeted support where imbalance persists.

Tea tree essential oil offers broad-spectrum antimicrobial properties and complements oregano’s intensity with balanced, supportive action.

Preparing the Salve

Preparation begins by gently melting the infused oil and beeswax together over low heat. Direct, high heat is avoided to preserve botanical integrity.

Once fully melted and combined, the mixture is removed from heat.

Essential oils are stirred in after cooling slightly to protect their volatile compounds.

The liquid salve is then poured into a clean jar and allowed to set undisturbed at room temperature until fully solidified.

When properly stored in a cool, dry place, the salve maintains stability for 6–12 months.

Using the Black Walnut Fungal Salve

This preparation is intended for external use only.

Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin on the feet or nails once or twice daily. Consistency supports the most reliable results.

Because the preparation is occlusive, only a small amount is required. Allow full absorption before covering the area.
